Born and raised in Lafayette, Louisiana, and founder of the Louisiana Leaders Council, Preston C. Demouchet is unconditionally committed to the youth of Louisiana. |

Prior to moving to New York City, where Preston currently teaches sixth- and seventh-grade mathematics as a Corps Member of Teach For America, in 2005, Preston graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia. He is a member of Delta Mu Delta International Honors Society in Business Administration. He also founded and served as President of Marymount University Business Club. |

Preston's fellowships and internships prepared him for his role at Louisiana Leaders Council. In 2004, Preston was one of twelve out of 560 applicants selected to participate in the United Leaders summer fellowship program in Boston, Massachusetts. While attending Marymount University, he served a two year appointment with the United States Secret Service, Department of Homeland Security. |

Upon fulfilling his two-year commitment with Teach For America, Preston plans to begin working toward his law degree at Loyola University Chicago School of Law. His tentative law school and future plans include focusing on mergers and acquisitions and public interest law. He plans to return to his home state. |

Be it state, national, or world news, Preston enjoys it all. During his spare time, you can find him reading, visiting with friends and family and exercising. |
